Feeding the Homeless

Well as most of you know my brother Danny came home from his mission in Ohio on Thursday. Well of course I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures, but it was really great to see him. He was...well is...a normal return missionary, a little awkward, but really sweet! He gave his homecoming talk today, and it was amazing! Well on Saturday we went and fed the homeless in L.A.! This is something I remember doing as a youth a lot, and it was always one of my favorite things. We just drive into downtown L.A. and start cooking hot dogs. Usually we get lines of people coming to get them, but this time it was a little slower, but we still gave out around 200 sack lunches. Each bag had a hot dog, a drink, chips, a candy cane, and some crackers. Here is a picture of everyone that came!

And here is our family friend Scotty McGrath, who went out to find us some hungry people! They are all following him to get some food! It was so funny!

After we finished feeding the homeless we drove to Santa Monica Pier. We watched some street performers, and ate some lunch. This is a picture of the boys before we ate! Also a little side note...there is a roller coaster on Santa Monica Pier, and my sister-in-law Markie had never been on a roller coaster before, so she went on her first roller coaster while we were there. She was so scared...and it was probably one of the slowest roller coasters I have ever seen! It was so funny!!!
